About the Position
The Shefa School is seeking a full-time Art Teacher for September 2022 to teach in the Lower and Middle Schools.
Key Responsibilities
The Art Teacher will collaborate with the Art Team in teaching and preparing for art classes to students in both the lower and middle school. The art teacher will teach sections of art classes, mentor and support the art assistant teacher, as well as organize, set up, and clean art materials. They also support the school at large in the display of student work, collaboration with classroom teachers to integrate art into other subject areas, such as Judaic Studies and Social Studies, as well as perform a support role during lunch, recess and arrival/dismissal.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in an art setting. Experience working with students with language-based learning disabilities is a plus.
