About the Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on creating, planning and implementing student life, family, and community events, taking lead responsibility for the logistics and communications needed to make the events successful.
  • Oversee the systems for day-to-day operations, including transportation, arrival and dismissal, lunch and snack programs, the afterschool program, safety drills, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Contribute to creating clear, timely, and coherent communications across modalities – email, social media, videos, website, etc. – for families and other stakeholders.
  • Support the Assistant Head of School in managing the connection and collaboration between the academic program and operations, including IT, database, the Business Office, Facilities, Development, the Nurse’s Office and Admissions.
  • Support the Assistant Head of School and school leadership in new and ongoing initiatives and policies, such as DEI, child protection, and legal policies
  • Support the Assistant Head of School and Business Office in managing tuition, financial aid, and enrollment systems as well as the impartial hearing process.
  • Contribute to the coordination and implementation of security initiatives, new building transition, and Parents Association programs.
  • Support and partner with the Assistant Head of School on creating and implementing better systems for the Shefa School while serving the school community’s broad range of constituencies

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a school, youth-serving organization, or similar institution with responsibilities for programmatic operations.
  • Competence in working with digital solutions, such as Google Suite and databases, to implement programmatic systems
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to create excellent public-facing communications
  • A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups
  • Exceptional organizational skills and systems and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
